If you’re looking for a class that builds fitness and resilience in both mind and body – Mindful Flow Yoga is the practice for you. In our sessions in Buntingford and Braughing, we build strength, flexibility and endurance through mindful movement, as well as enjoying moments of relaxation. Here are 7 reasons to come along and give it a go.

1. Great for Beginners

It doesn’t matter if you’re not flexible or have never been to a yoga class before. In Mindful Flow, we focus on functional movements rather than crazy poses (which can often be unsafe). That means it’s easy for beginners to join in. Some parts will be challenging, but you’ll always be working at your own pace to build fitness safely.

2. Ease Aches and Pains

Many of our aches and pains come from the way we move and the way we hold ourselves (our posture). Mindful Flow teaches you the fundamentals of functional movement and healthy, tension free posture, easing aches and pains and keeping injuries at bay.

3. Enjoy the Benefits of Mindfulness

As the name suggests, mindfulness is a key element of our Mindful Flow practice. The science is clear: mindfulness is powerful stuff. Benefits include: better sleep, more resilience to stress, boosted immune function, stronger memory, greater impulse control and clearer mental focus. Studies even show mindfulness can reduce blood pressure and help with mental health challenges like anxiety and depression.

4. Build Your Fitness and Resilience

If improving your fitness is what you’re after, you’re in the right place. Mindful Flow helps improve our range of movement and flexibility as well as building muscular endurance and strength. You should also see progress in your balance and stability and increase your resilience against injuries.

5. Be Part of a Community

When you join a Mindful Flow class, you’re also joining a kind and supportive yoga community. We have two wonderful venues in Braughing and Buntingford and run both daytime and evening sessions.

6. Practise the Art of Self-Care

Taking time out to care for ourselves isn’t something we often prioritise. In Mindful Flow, we take a step back from our busy lives and tune into our minds and bodies in the present moment. Fundamentally, it’s a practice of learning to be kind to yourself.
